Social services are capable of excellent care, but I agree with Happy, the care for those who do not need and refuse care to those who want it. They are completely paralyzed by bureaucracy and legislation. Unfortunately, the people are very wise to sign the NHS with doctors and clinicians to work with the mental health NHS, and all that is needed is two signatures of two doctors, a physician and a specialist in this case as a psychiatrist. It is strange that with 2 nurses in the family, who were unable to break the chain. It is possible that the "patient" in this case is susceptible, but I would not throw I can trust these people. Especially when it comes to psychiatrists who want to fill, with neuroleptics.

I have seen too often and are very uncomfortable when you can have your way. If this were my mother and I had to prove nurses in the family now for legal assistance, must ensure that the patient is not able to care for themselves and constitutes a danger to themselves and the public.

People are too obedient, and unfortunately I think this is God. I do not think social services have the right, but I'm sure they think they are entitled. At this age, through the courts and God knows what can be very painful. All we can do, I think, is to pray for these people. When an application, sign it. Hopefully the family will find the strength to fight.

Yes, if someone is in danger, then there is a duty of care to protect them. Family members must be removed not necessarily the best providers and social services to this woman from the custody of his daughter's alleged support for the network - which must have valid reasons. Laws exist to protect vulnerable social services, and to applaud their actions.

Imagine the negative media coverage if the woman died from neglect at home, not because social services intervene?

We (the family) were in this position, my mother in-law was in the hospital where he exploited the fear taken after a fall, but not injured. Though nearly blind, did not get a bowl cut, spoon, food or something so you can eat. Nurses knelt a pork chop (or other) with cabbage and potatoes on the bedside table, then disappeared, almost intact. In order to carefully weigh every day, taking into account the gradual loss of weight, but do nothing. She did not bathe or not at all clean.

We lived 200 miles away, and when we visited, we were shocked. We have proposed to take her home, where they see. The nurse refused to authorize the project, that the patient should go to a residence. We suspectgives financial arrangement between the nurse and the house, but could not be sure. I suspect a similar motive in the case cited.

Finally, go under the pretext of exercising the old woman on campus, simply put into the car and her home.

Instead of dying of starvation in the care system, you do not have a new life, which lasts more than two years of the happiest, have a good relationship with their grandchildren, and learn how to me - it was always, that's good enough for her daughter .

We were confronted was the SS, but as possible taken into account if the patient was very happy to stay and insisted that the NHS hospitals ") only slightly less than Belsen" (his words. Yes, it is hard work because shI was almost blind and fragile, but it was worth all the effort.

I regret that I spent so much time, but it's worth a real interesting case in which I have personal experience with the carelessness of nurses and social workers.

I do not know all the details about this case, but I think that social services have a duty to act in the best interest of the old mother. In this case, the interest of the mother with his family in a loving environment (is supported by medical professionals is).

This story is a perfect example of misunderstandings. When he sat with the family and develops a care plan itself, all the chaos this could have been avoided.

I find it very strange. Certainly there must be more than that for them, are also involved. Because his family was not entitled to take home to her mother, anyway? I find it scary that these people can go into someone's life, worrying and cases such as this give them a name so bad that the real power loss and disturbs those who do not seem to be necessary. If you think of the thousands of elderly people living alone and nobody gives a dam, is very hypocritical to say the least ...

I also dislike and distrust of the system that the elderly and the dying, to be injected with lethal drugs) for a nurse (it hurts my love, here's a dose of it is often easier to put the noose around the neck with set up a soft comfort and relieve pain.
Obviously, there are many, many nurses, many out there who must be given care and compassion, but the system is imperfect.
Our social services are also a unit that somehow achieved a status far higher than the little that is justified, it must have to break its power in the law to silence, and all their actions must be taken into consideration in public session.

Certainly there is no law forcing anyone to stop on any budget. If the parents to nursing homes, these people who interfere. And the rights of its own. ?
