I have tried to set traps and do not work, so everyone told me to put some rat poison. Well, that's swallowed it all, but now languishing behind the walls of my house and smells terrible. I do not think I can live long like this! How long until he starts to feel better?

Uggghhhh ... We had the same thing happened to us last year. I would say that the smell dissapate began after a week, and was gone after two weeks.
(This depends on many things ... temperature, humidity, etc.)
ewww! I found a dead mouse in my room once, shot my uncle Jessy. I do not know how long the smell, because my father sprayed Febreze on the carpet.
It will stop stinking in it dries. Sad, but true.
It could take months to eliminate the body .. I know ... is terrible.
